Cheryl Johnson has been hired as the ANHC’s new administrative specialist, the position previously held by Toni Snow. Cheryl most recently worked as the front desk receptionist for the new Department of Arkansas Heritage’s headquarters.
As part of her regular duties with the ANHC, Cheryl will schedule, organize, and perform all of the behind-the-scenes duties that go into ANHC’s quarterly Commission meetings and will serve as the main agency contact for our Commission members. She will assist the director, Darrell Bowman, and coordinate many of the ANHC’s office projects.
Cheryl comes to ANHC with a comprehensive skill set and job experience. She holds a master of business administration and a bachelor of arts in English.
Earlier in her career, Cheryl worked as a publication director for Leisure Arts, Inc. for 16 years, and as a night auditor and receptionist for the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View. She continues to work as a freelance editor and writer for quilt instruction books, and mystery and romance genre fiction.
