Two New Faces at the ANHC

Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission - Thursday, November 21, 2019

The ANHC has added two new staff members: Administrative Assistant, Ingrid Green and Botanist, Diana Soteropoulos. Ingrid has been hired as the ANHC’s new part-time administrative assistant. She retired from the state of Arkansas with nearly 20 years of administrative experience. Ingrid formerly worked full-time with the Arkansas Department of Human Services and the Arkansas Attorney General’s office. She replaces Emily Barfield.

Diana is a doctoral candidate at Arkansas State University. A skilled field botanist and ecologist, she has conducted some of her doctoral dissertation research at Pine City Natural Area. So far, she has documented more than 600 plant species at the natural area and surrounding roadways. Diana fills the vacant botanist position that was created when Theo Witsell was promoted to Chief of Research.
