Additional Event Details

Join The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in conserving the Greers Ferry Lake Watershed by planting trees along the South Fork Little Red River. This planting project is part of a partnership with the Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) called the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). The voluntary program implements various conservation practices on private farm land to reduce excessive sediment and nutrients in the upper Little Red River watershed. Volunteers will be planting 3-gallon container saplings. Participants should dress in layers of warm clothing and sturdy tennis shoes or hiking boots and bring work gloves. TNC will provide bottled water, coffee, and lunch. Bring a shovel if you have one. Contact Bonnie Earleywine at 501.351.9380 or [email protected] for more information or to RSVP. TNC will watch the weather closely and update participants with any changes to the event's plan.
