Additional Event Details

Founded by Linda D. Williams, M.S., a former biomedical researcher at NASA-Johnson Space Center and Rice University in Houston, TX, the Little Rock Science Cafe began in the spring of 2007 and meets monthly on every fourth Tuesday. Each meeting features three panelists who address a monthly topic as it relates to his/her experience and expertise. After each speaker's brief talk, the audience asks questions and discusses the topic. The moderator, Dorothy Graves, Ph.D., fills in the gaps and facilitates questions. March's topic is "NASA Spinoffs and You."

Prior to each Science Cafe, moderator Graves hosts a companion radio call-in show on NPR-affiliate station KUAR FM 89.1 from 6:05-6:30 p.m. The radio show is a casual conversation between Graves and one of the evening's panelists and gives listeners the opportunity to ask questions of an expert.
