The Beaver Lake Watershed Symposium is a program designed for anyone with an interest in learning more about the water quality of Beaver Lake, outreach programs taking place, best management practices that are being applied within the watershed, and technical information. The program is free, but an RSVP is required to participate. This year's symposium is titled "Focusing on the Forest" and includes discussions or presentations about components of a healthy forest, urban forest and community forest management, forest management in Devil's Eyebrow Natural Area and Hobbs State Park, forested land and water quality in the Beaver Lake Watershed, Arkansas Forest and Drinking Water Collaborative, and forest management from a landowner's perspective. ANHC's Chief of Acquisitions and Stewardship, Bryan Rupar, will be discussing forest management at Devil's Eyebrow Natural Area and Hobbs State Park at 11:10 a.m. For more information or to RSVP, call 479-750-8007 or email [email protected] .
