Additional Event Details

During the WeDigBio (Worldwide Engagement for Digitizing Biocollections) international transcription blitz, ANHC Chief of Research/Ecologist/Herbarium Curator Theo Witsell will discuss the three-year inventory project for Benton and Washington counties in Northwest Arkansas. This project uses historic specimen data and present-day surveys to inform conservation decisions in this rapidly changing area of Arkansas.

WeDigBio encourages people worldwide to transcribe natural history specimens, including herbarium specimens, into a standardized digital format over a four-day period. The ANHC's event will work within the Plants of Arkansas project on the Notes from Nature platform. For more information or to become involved in the ANHC's WeDigBio event, contact Diana Soteropoulos at [email protected] .
