Habitat: Dry limestone glades and similar calcareous bald knobs.

Flowering Date: May - June

Fruiting Date: July - August

Causes for Concern: Much of its restricted habitat is being developed. Also threatened by the invasion of glades by woody species (particularly eastern redcedar) in the absence of fire or other disturbance.

Global Range: Scutellaria bushii is endemic to the Ozark region of Missouri and Arkansas.
