Habitat: Dry to mesic upland woods usually dominated by an oak-hickory assemblage, but also reported from mixed hardwood-pine forests. Optimum habitat appears to include a partially open canopy.

Flowering Date: April - early May

Fruiting Date: May - mid July

Causes for Concern: Restricted to a narrow range in the Interior Highlands. Several sites are threatened with development and by the spread of exotic invasive plants.

Global Range: Trillium pusillum var. ozarkanum is restricted to the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains of the Interior Highlands of southern Missouri, Arkansas, and southeastern Oklahoma.
