Volunteer Appreciation/Clean-Up Day at Devil's Eyebrow a Success

Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission - Tuesday, July 21, 2015

Thirty-two volunteers recently worked with the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission (ANHC), the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC), and the Beaver Watershed Alliance (BWA) to clean up approximately 2 miles of Beaver Lake shoreline at Devil’s Eyebrow Natural Area as part of a volunteer appreciation/clean-up day.

In conjunction with Lake Appreciation Month, participants paddled along the shoreline in canoe, had the opportunity to swim, and enjoyed a short hike from the Devil’s Eyebrow lakeshore to a scenic overlook of Beaver Lake. ANHC hopes to make the Devil’s Eyebrow volunteer appreciation event an annual event, coinciding with Lake Appreciation Month.

Thanks to our partners at AGFC (canoes) and BWA (snacks and additional equipment) for making this volunteer day at success.
